One of a series of kits built by Hawk back in the day, with funny themes. This kit is a guitar player and a frantic fan. I made it as a funny gift for my wife - she’s a blond, and I play the guitar.
The parts of the kit did not go together. No - I mean that. Really large gaps - had to reposition lots of body parts, and then fill in big gaps. I felt like Dr Frank-en-steen!!
The original microphone stand didn’t even last through the painting stage, so I made a new one from grey metal bar stock. I added guitar strings to the kit made from thread. And I added a guitar strap that I made from masking tape and then painted brown.
I have never been good at painting people - flesh tones or faces or anything. This kit was no exception. I touched up my mistakes over and over, to get to this final product.
