Nella Store

HO Scale
Scratch Built

The Store was based on photos  found in O. Winston Link: Life Along the Line: A Photographic Portrait of America's Last Great Steam Railroad. The store was located on the Abingdon Branch of the Norfolk and Western Railway.

The model is laser cut from basswood, birch plywood, and chipboard. Painted and weathered with craft acrylic paint and pastel chalk.  CAD work for the laser cutting was done in the software FormZ.  Signs were made in Adobe Photoshop and printed to scale on thin paper and glued to the building with white glue.

The model base is scrap wood with sifted dirt from my yard glued down with white glue.

Figures are by Prieser.  Two vehicles are used on the model, Classic Metal Works Mini Metals  1951 Chevrolet Fleetline.  The second car is a  Jordan Highway Miniatures 1928 Model A Ford Sedan.

Bushes and grass are from Woodland Scenics.
